摘要：
电子邮件是Internet上应用最多和最广的服务项目,SMTP(Simple Mail Transport protocol)和POP3(Post office protocol)是在电子邮件服务中分别负责收信和发信的两种协议。本文介绍了电子邮件系统的工作原理及相关协议,并基于这些协议设计和开发了一个实用的邮件系统。
Abstract：E-mail is the most useful service item on Internet. SMTP and POP3 are two protocols in the E-mail service to receive and dispatch E-mails. This paper introduced the principle and protocols of email, and also designed and developedan email system based on those protocols.
